This is not the site of the rock band True West. Their reissue CD Hollywood Holiday Revisited is available here. And check out the fan mySpace page.

True West plays modern country and alt-country. Featuring the lead vocals of Laura Pratt, ably assisted by John Kelly and Derm "JD" Whittaker on guitars and vocals, Jim Pedersen on bass and vocals, and Mike Spencer on drums, we aim to provide a professional and fun show for you.

We play country music by artists like Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, the Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood...but we also have room in the setlists for a few old favorites that we've updated with a modern sound.

NEWS...

We had a blast at the The Charlie Horse in West Bridgewater on November 1st and are anticipating returning there in January. Thanks to the fans who came down to help us get a good start! You can check out a few pictures of the gig here. Click on 'Next Screen' and then 'Country Thursday' to get to the slide show, we're in there somewhere...

Our debut performance at Tequila's in Danvers went well, the crowd danced the whole night through and we hope to be back at this awesome club in the near future. Thanks to the fans that made the trip to see us, and we'll let you know when we're back there.

Check out our Myspace page! Our gigs, music and other info is posted, and you can do all the regular Myspace things.

Here's some really cool news: True West was just selected by the Mass Country Music Awards Association as the Horizon Band for 2007. That's a fancy way of saying the Association members think we're the best new country band around. We were completely blown away to be selected, needless to say...we never imagined when the band started playing out about a year ago that we'd get this kind of notice. Many thanks to every MCMAA member who voted for us. We're humbled and flattered.
